Wake Boarding with the Bittons

Saturday August 1st we were invited to go wake boarding with Josh and Dani Bitton. Dani's boss (a dentist) has a boat and loves taking people wake boarding. We were a little nervous about how Gavin would do since he would mostly have to just sit and watch and we would be waking him up at 5:30am to be at the dock by 6:ooam. Luckily, he had a blast and was content the whole time. We LOVE wake boarding and were extra excited to be going with our good friends. Thanks Dani and Josh, we had a BLAST!!

Gavin's 1st Birthday!!

WARNING: Picture Overload and TOO Much Cuteness Below!

Thursday, July 23rd, Gavin turned 1 year old! My parents, Veniece and Jerry, flew into town to spend his birthday with us. We went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner where Gavin devoured his Birthday Sunday and then cried when his fingers got cold from eating the ice cream with his hands. Saturday, July 25th, was Gavin's Birthday BBQ and swim party! We had a blast and were so happy to share the day with friends and family! Gavin brought home a haul and loves his new toys!

I can't believe my little boy is already 1 year old!! It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. I never believed people when they said that kids grow up so fast that before you know it they are 18 and leaving the house until now. I have never felt more love or more joy than I have this year! Our little Duders was the best baby a mom could ever ask for: a good eater, good sleeper, good pooper, healthy (0nly got sick twice) and ALWAYS happy! Gavin has grown up so fast that he is hardly a baby anymore! I put him in onsies still sometimes so that he looks like a baby, but he still runs around the house so curious about everything, talking, signing, and playing his heart out. Here are his statistics from his 1 year doctors appt:

Height: 32 inches (99%, almost off the charts!)
Weight: 20 lbs 12 oz (25%, but still climbing up the growth chart nicely)

Gavin, Mommy loves you so much! You are my joy and my song! I LOVE the hugs and kisses you give me everyday! I LOVE the smiles and laughs we share! You will always be my little boy. I LOVE that you are learning and growing so much so fast. You are my bundle of energy, my curious George, my little Destroyer, and I wouldn't want it any other way!

Vacation Continued

After Yellowstone, we spent a few days in Salt Lake City with Jason's family before heading home. Thursday was a free day with no family obligations so we met up with Gavin's birth parents, Ariel and David for lunch and fun at the park. They loved seeing how much he has grown and all the things he's doing now like walking, signing, talking, throwing balls etc.

On Friday July 10th, Jason's cousin Trevor got married in the Draper temple. It was a beautiful ceremony and reception. The next day was Bock Ba's (Jason's grandma) surprise birthday party. We told her it was a family reunion so she wouldn't get suspicious with all her children arriving from out of town. She was so surprise when we started singing happy birthday the moment she walked in. She started crying, which of course made me cry! Luckily I wasn't the only one, I looked over and Jenny (Jason's sister) was teary eyed too! Saturday night we left to drive back home, rather reluctantly. The worst things about vacations is that they have to end!

JaCkSoN HoLe and YeLLoWsToNe

Sorry it has taken so long for me to post pictures of our fabulous trip to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone with Jason's family. Our computers are being silly and aren't recognizing the memory card from our camera!

Back to the fun: Our big summer vacation this year we spent with Jason's family up in Jackson Hole and Yellowstone over the 4th of July! We had a BLAST!! We were camping in a trailer the whole time with camp fires and the whole bit. Gavin LOVED it!!! He loved being outside exploring all the plants (last camping trip he was crawling and wasn't as mobile...now he's practically running) and COULD NOT go anywhere unless he had a ROCK in his hand. Too cute! Jason's family goes every year to Jackson Hole but we have missed the last 3 years due to law school. It was so good being their with everyone and enjoy beauty of the Tetons and Yellowstone National Park! Love to all for an AWESOME trip!

We took a ton of pics...so enjoy! :)
