COLLOSSAL CATCH UP PART 2

Arriving the day after Christmas we were lucky enough to make it in time for the Wells' Family Christmas party which conveniently was scheduled for Dec. 26th! It was great getting all the cousins together, plus Gavin enjoyed his first sucker.

Then we had a Mike Wells Family Christmas night where we exchanged gifts and the grandkids were spoiled silly. One of the days we drove down to Brian and Ann's in Eagle Mountain to take Gavin sledding. Jason and I weren't sure if he would like the cold snow. Getting him ready took longer than he cared to stay outside! He enjoyed one run down and VERY SMALL hill and decided he HATED it. He cried until we finally brought him back in the nice warm house.

New Year's Eve we visited the Zoo Lights. Gavin really like looking at all the lights made into animals and the few real animals that were out. Ann was so nice and bought all the kids a ride on the carousel but didn't know that Gavin hates it. We were troopers and rode anyway, but Gavin cried and tried to get off the giraffe the whole time. It's the thought the counts, Ann. Thank you.

COLLOSSAL CATCH UP PART 1

CHRISTMAS 2009

This year my family came from Texas to spend Christmas with us. They arrived the Saturday before and left Christmas afternoon. We had a relaxing visit and were able to spend time with family here in Arizona including my dad's two brothers and their families and my step sisters and niece. We had a nice dinner with Christine, Michaela, Jennifer Anne and John. Then afterwards mom watched the kids while we went to see AVATAR!!!! IT WAS AWESOME BTW!! My grandma LuAnne (my dad's mom) and her husband JR came down and we spent Christmas Eve with them at Aunt Karen's house. The Monday before Christmas we got together with our friends the Niederhausers, Clarks and Youngs and put on a live nativity reenactment. Gavin was the cutest shepard ever! All the kids did a great job!
Christmas morning was WONDERFUL mostly because Gavin was so happy opening his presents and LOVED all his toys!! Thanks Mom, Dad, Sam and Matt for spending the holiday with us. We loved having you!

I worked Christmas Day until 11pm then we drove up to Utah to spend time with Jason's family while my parents made the drive back to Texas.

Note to Avid Readers

Dear Readers:

The drought is finally over....I'm blogging again! My absence was the result of a myriad of reasons, the biggest of which has now been rectified. Our laptop computer died...it lived a long life as laptops go but didn't come out of law school as unscathed as Jason did and eventually went KAPUT! You may ask yourself why this should hinder me from blogging when we have a perfectly good desktop upstairs?
I will answer.
#1) For some reason the desktop refuses to accept our camera's memory card even though we've got the nifty one that turns into a USB thingy (I know, you are astounded by my technical jargon!) So getting pictures from the camera to the desktop via a cable is quite painful and I haven't got the patience.
#2) The only time I can blog is when Gavin takes his nap, but the little turkey is such a light sleeper that he wakes up to my unbelievably fast typing (j/k, and if you didn't know our desktop is right outside his bedroom).
RESULT: No blogging for 3 months.
GOOD NEWS: We got a new laptop!

So...let the blogging commense. My attempts to sum up the last 3 months will heretofore be known as the "COLLOSSAL CATCH UP!" Stay tuned...

Love,
Jen
