Ellie and Ashlyn's Birthday Party!

On Saturday Feb. 11th we had Ellie and Ashlyn's birthday party. IT TOTALLY ROCKED!!! We decided to do a Carnival theme and got a HUGE bounce house with a slide, bubble machine and cotton candy machine. We served hot dogs and brawts, chips, fruit and veggies and had cupcakes. There were a TON of kids and they had a BLAST!!! Nana, Bockba, Grandma Niece and Papa came for the weekend! We can't express how much it meant that they were there to celebrate Ellie's birthday with us!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY ELENA!!

Ellie turned 1 year old on Feb. 8th, 2012. Due to my lack of planning, I ended up working that day so we celebrated her birthday at Red Robin with Jason for lunch. Here are some pics of her in a cute new outfit. Look how BIG she is already! I can't believe how fast this year has flown by.

Ellie is still the SMILIEST, HAPPIEST baby girl I have ever known! Except now she's so busy that it's hard to catch her cute smiles on camera. She loves to play with mommy and daddy and brother, Gavin. Her favorite games are playing hide and seek, banging on things, jabbering at the top of her lungs, putting things in buckets/baskets and taking things out. Ellie loves to help me with the dishes, i.e. take all the silverware out. She loves things that make noise. She loves mommy and daddy to wear Gavin's Spiderman and Ironman masks! Although I have tried to surround her with girly toys most of the time she likes to play with Gavin's cars, trains or dinosaurs. She is a speedy crawler and loves to walk around furniture. She hasn't tried to stand or walk on her own but will now walk while holding your fingers. It has been so fun to see her personality come shining through these last few weeks. She gets jealous anytime Jason or I hold Gavin or any other child for that matter and must be held as well. When she gets frustrated she yells and then hits, usually in the face. A couple times she has even tried to bite Gavin. I don't know where she learned that! When trying to chase her she squeals in excitement and then turns around and crawls towards you! She gets so excited every day when Jason comes home, yelling Da-da and crawling as fast as she can (with her head down, i guess to get more speed) until Jason picks her up. She loves giving her daddy kisses and still refuses to give kisses to mommy. She loves to eat off our plates. At dinnertime she will eat her dinner usually around 5pm and then eat again from our plates around 6:30pm! She loves to twirl and dance. She loves to look at books, although frequently rips them if not supervised. Ellie loves to take baths, be tickled, eat ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING SWEET!

Ellie we feel SO BLESSED to have you in our family! Your sweet smile and laughter has filled our home and our hearts with joy! Every day I am amazed at how much I LOVE YOU! There could not be a cuter little girl in all the world and we are SO HAPPY you're ours!!

Round Head at LAST!

Yesterday Ellie had her last cranial band (aka helmet) appointment! She is all done with her helmet and has a beautifully round head so go ahead and be jealous!
