Farm Day

Gavin's preschool had Farm Day last week.  Ms. Kathy's grandfather owns a farm so they went exploring, looking at all the animals, and doing fun crafts.  They even had a petting zoo come so the kids could pet all sorts of animals.

The petting zoo was quite popular! You can't see but we are petting goats, ducks, bunnies, pigs, a llama and baby chicks.

Easter 2012 was really fun this year.  On Saturday we had our 4h annual Easter Egg Hunt with friends.  The kids had a blast searching for all their goodies.  I love this tradition because the weather is SO PERFECT and the grass is green and soft and I just love being outside with my family and friends!
Easter Sunday we all (us, Youngs, Niederhausers, and Clarks) met at the Clark's home for dinner.  A great time was had by all!  I ate so much of the good food that you practically had to roll me out to the car!  :)

T-Ball

Gavin started T-ball at the end of March and is doing well. It's his first time in an organized sport so he was hesitant at first but is enjoying it now. He is learning how to run the bases, stop a ground ball and hit. Unfortunately he missed the first game, because we were out of town but here are some pictures of his second game!

Update...long overdue

Ellie loves playing with the dishes in the dishwasher

Ellie's cookie face! She is a girl after my own heart and LOVES sweets, especially ice cream!

The last weekend in March Jason and I went to Las Vegas for a get-away, just the two of us and Nana and Potter drove down and took the kids. Here is some pics of their fun...yes this first one made Jason quite upset! :) Jason and I had a great time! We went to see Garth at the Wynn which was AMAZING!!! Thanks Nana and Potter for make the trip possible.

Jackson and Gavin playing super heroes! Thanks Nana for make these capes and for the Spiderman mask. They are a HUGE hit. Ellie LOVES the masks and makes me put one on every time we are in the playroom!

Ellie enjoys her baby dolls. She hugs them and rocks them.

Gavin is doing great in preschool now. He had a big problem hitting and not obeying the rules in the beginning but now his teacher says he is doing much better. Gavin can spell his name and knows almost all the letters and numbers up to 20. His writing and coloring has greatly improved and he is now started to draw, especially his family which is super cute! He is such a sweet, tender boy and calls Ellie "sweet girl" all the time. He is so thoughtful and picks flowers for me to wear in my hair all the time. He is into pretending he's Ellie a lot. I don't know if its for more attention or that she doesn't get in trouble as much cause she's younger, so he wants to act like her thinking he'll get a free pass too.
Ellie's personality is really shining through lately. She loves to smile and laugh! Her favorite thing is to flirt with people, mostly boys though. Practically all of sacrament she is standing up looking behind our pew and smiling and laughing at all the people behind us. She has discovered her tummy and lifts up her shirt often to look at it. She gets quite frustrated when she has a onesie on. She says Mama and Dada and Gaga (for Gavin). She can sign cracker, milk, more and please. She loves to climb up and down the stairs and is walking along every bit of furniture we have. Just 2 days ago she took her FIRST STEPS from Jason to me, but we've yet to duplicate it. She LOVES music and starts moving her little body any time she hears some. I really need to get it on camera cause it's SO CUTE! She's a feisty one and will try to bite you if you upset her. She hasn't actually bit someone yet, but it's just a matter of time!
