The day after we left the hospital we met with our pediatrician for baby Ellie's routine check. She was looking a little yellow so we were sent to the lab to get her tested for jaundice. Her levels came back very high and we started photo therapy that night.
Modern medicine is AMAZING!! Instead of having to get admitted to the hospital, a home health agency dropped off this nifty UV blanket that wraps around her abdomen so she can get her therapy at home.

Love her so much
My Nela had high bilirubin numbers and sadly at 5 days old they put her back in the hospital. It was horrible!! We asked the pediatrician about the option of a blanket but he said he personally didn't like them and preferred to put her in the picu. Not that I know more about it . . . wish I had fought him harder to keep us home and get the blanket sent to us. [live and learn]. Your little tron baby sure looks precious! We are praying for low bilirubin numbers for your Ellie. Gavin looks like a darling big brother, too!!
That blanket is nuts! And Auntie Ann love her cheeks. The end. :)
