Dragonfly Obsession

Last week while I was at work, Jason and Gavin were throwing rocks outside when Gavin spots a dragonfly. He is super into bugs right now! Jason told me Gavin was so excited about the dragonfly, dancing all around it, showing it to Jason and wanting to go outside to see it all night. Well, I guess in one of his excitement dances (you know what I'm talking about, all kids do it) he accidentally STEPPED ON the dragonfly and KILLED IT! Except, he didn't realize it. It looked exactly the same as before just no movement. Jason left it out there by our front door and the next morning tells me the story. Well, ALL DAY LONG, Gavin wants to go outside to see the dragonfly. His obsession is so great he finally learned how to unlock the deadbolt! So now he can go outside whenever he wants and I am terrified to let him out of my sight.
