ELLIE TURNS 2 MINNIE MOUSE STYLE!

BIRTHDAY GIRL, ELLIE is TWO!

Prepare yourself for a photo extravaganza!!!  Let me begin by saying I'm NOT good at throwing parties.  They make me anxious and I completely STRESS OUT!  That said, I started thinking about Ellie's birthday in early January.  Right away I knew the theme had to be MINNIE MOUSE!  So, what does a non-crafty, non-imaginative person do to get ideas?...look on PINTEREST!  I got great ideas and for the first 2-3 weeks had a horrible time deciding which aspects of other people's Minnie Mouse parties I wanted to copy.  Did I mention I'm not a good party planner?

I finally made my decisions...and got to WORK!

 THE INVITATIONS, DECORATIONS AND CRAFTS

I had a friend with a Silhouette help me with invites...aren't they adorable!

I made Minnie Mouse ears for all the girls and Mickey ears for Gavin and Papa

I made tulle skirts for all the girls to go in their goody bag!

I found these cupcakes on Pinterest and fell in love with them.  I was able to find a bakery that could make them.  AWESOME!!!

THE GUESTS

 I decided to keep the party pretty small, we invited just 4 girls that Ellie likes to play with.  They arrived and played with all of Ellie's girly toys like her princess castle, Minnie Mouse dress up suitcase etc. Then the girls colored Minnie Mouse pictures and played with Minnie stickers.

MORE ACTIVITIES

After coloring we had Ellie lunch and of course it had to be Ellie's favorite, PIZZA!  She LOVES pizza and asks for it all the time.  One time in the car on the way to get pizza she said, "I love my pizza."  Then we sang some songs like "Do As I'm Doing," "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes," "Once There Was a Snowman," and "The Turtle Song." I went to iTunes and bought some songs from Mickey Mouse clubhouse like the theme song, a special birthday song and of course the Hot Dog song.  Ellie was having a BLAST!!! She was singing and dancing to all the songs and LOVED dancing to the Mickey Mouse songs we bought.  All the kids loved it!! After songs we played pin the bow on the Minnie, but I guess we didn't get any pictures of that activity.

I thought it quite hilarious that all 4 of her guests got her Minnie Mouse toys! But luckily none were the same!

In addition to the Minnie ears and tulle skirts, I got all the girls Minnie Mouse necklaces and bracelets, Minnie tatoos, and a Minnie Mouse cup. Each girl went home with a balloon too!

What a MAGICAL day!!!  The party was BEYOND AWESOME!!  Ellie LOVED every minute of it and that made all my hard work worth it!  I love you my sweet, darling girl.  I love your smiling face! You bring such joy to my life!  Ellie we feel so blessed to have you in our family and love your happy, sweet spirit that brightens our hearts and our home!  I love that you love Mickey and Minnie.  I love that you sing to yourself all the time.  I love that you are ALWAYS happy.  I love that you are SUCH a MOMMY'S GIRL!  I love that you love shoes and love to try on mommy's shoes.  I love that you love combing mommy's hair and putting on chapstick and talking on your pretend phone.  I love that you want to do everything holding mommy's finger.  I love that you love to do whatever Gavin's doing, good or bad.  I love how you scream and squeal while running to jump on daddy when he gets home.  I love that your favorite foods are cheese, yogurt, strawberries, GoGo Squeeze applesauce and fruit snacks.  I love how you sleep holding 5 different stuffed animals and insist that at least another 5 stuffed animals are in your crib too.  I love that you are addicted to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Super Why and Dumbo.  You have such a kind and happy personality.  I hope you always see the world through optimistic eyes. Thank you for a wonderful 2 years!
