Jason
I am a person who enjoys just about anything. Whether it is camping, sightseeing, sports, movies, music, video games, being alone, being with a group, or just hanging out with friends and family, I am up for it. Now if sports are involved, you can definitely count me in, especially if it is football, basketball, or golf. Often I bore my wife with random factoids and stats from the sporting world, and she is nice enough to listen and pretend as if she really cares (sometimes she really does). I am that guy who will watch SportsCenter two or three times in a row, must record all the games on the TiVo, read about the games, plays in online Yahoo! Fantasy leagues, and scours the Internet for the last rumor or update. Golfing is my other passion. I like it because it allows me to get away for a while with some friends, unwind, and be outdoors. Some of my other favorite things are playing Guitar Hero or just about any other game on the Wii, although I am the worst at the fighting games, and going to the movies or renting movies. I like all types of movies: action, comedy, scary, and yes I will admit it, I even like some of the chick flicks that are out there. In high school and throughout college dance was a big part of my life, clogging in particular was my life. Now clogging is NOT country music, hoedowns, wooden shoes, or some hillbilly barn dance. It is most similar to Riverdance, but better (I am biased I know). I clogged for 18 years. During that time I won numerous national titles, coached teams to national championships, and toured all over the country. In fact it was dance that led me to my wife in college. I took a ballroom dance class to expand my dance abilities… alright, who am I kidding? I took the class to meet girls, but hey, it worked. I grew up the oldest of four siblings in my family; two brothers and one sister. To this day my siblings are some of my closest friends. Our family is very tight. We stay involved with each other’s activities, and do our best to support one another in any way we can. I love being an uncle. My wife and I have three nieces (two on her side, one on mine), we also get to play aunt and uncle to our best friends’ kids giving us an extra niece and one nephew to spoil. When ever possible I look for opportunities to work with children and teens. The best thing about teaching dance was the interaction it gave me to kids of all ages, some as young as 4 and 5. I have also been an assistant scout master twice, and work with the youth in my church.
