The Superman Pee

Gavin was AWESOME driving the 24 hours to and from Utah. On our way up we mostly traveled at night and with only 2 wks of potty training under his belt he didn't have an accident. Then on our way home we traveled during the day to get ahead of the storm. Of course, most of the times Gavin had to pee was when there were no exits in sight. So Jason would pull off on the side of the road, get him out and hold him in the above superman pose (because it was raining so the ground was wet and muddy) and told him to PUSH and PEE like Superman. I was totally thinking he wasn't going to do it because when we traveled with friends one time shortly after they had potty trained their little boy the dad tried to get their son to pee on the side of the road and he wouldn't do it. However, Gavin was a CHAMP and did his Superman pee like 3 times on our trip! NO ACCIDENTS!!! That's when I thought to myself...boys rock!

Unfortunately, Gavin is now a little too comfortable peeing in nature because at playgroup at the park the other day he started undressing and told me he had to potty, so what could I do but hold him in the Superman pose and let him pee on the tree (it was that or risk an accident on the way home).
Yes, I realize I will have THAT KID that is always peeing in the bushes in the neighborhood. But oh well...there are worse things! :)
