After Bug Week the kids were so excited for the next week! I decided we'd dive into the water with
OCEAN WEEK!
Monday
Again we headed out to the library to get books on tons of fun sea creatures. I forgot to get a picture of the kids with their books, but Monday afternoon we made Octopuses. I decorated the walls and the whole kitchen with crepe paper to look like we were under the sea. It was really fun!
For our field trip day, we of course went to the Sea Life Aquarium. Though it's not a very impressive aquarium, the kids LOVED it! Gavin was SO EXCITED about each exhibit. Tuesday afternoon we made tissue paper fish and colored fish.

Wednesday
We did a little switch-a-roo in our schedule and moved craft day to Wednesday so that my good friend Dani could come down with her baby Berkley and help us with our crafts. The kids were so excited to have Dani and Berkley there! Gavin worked on his fine motor skills cutting out the seaweed and starfish.

| Ellie's crab, I don't know why I didn't get a picture of Gavin's crab. |
Thursday
I was too tired after working to do much, but we made sure to watch the Ocean section of Planet Earth and read our library books about different sea creatures.
Friday
For our movie day we watched Finding Nemo. Unfortunately our friends couldn't join us. But the kids really enjoyed the movie and wanted to watch it over and over for the next few days.
YAY for OCEAN WEEK!
