Tuesday, February 3, 2009 our family was sealed together for all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Jason and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple 6 years ago in the same room at the same time. We even tried to get the same sealer but he doesn't work at the temple anymore. It was such a sacred and amazing experience! We got to the temple in plenty of time and Jason and I were able to spend about 30 minutes in the celestial room until our sealing time. It was so peaceful to be there with Jason and ponder the significance of the day. Jason and I managed to keep it together most of the morning but we both burst into tears outside the sealing room as we saw our little angel coming toward us. My mom was pushing him in his cute white suit in a white stroller. He was holding an orange plastic donut and was as happy as could be. It was the most beautiful sight I have ever seen! Words can't express the joy and tender emotion that accompanies the knowledge that Gavin is ours forever. Temples are truly a bit of heaven on earth, for the two happiest moments of my life have been inside the walls of the Salt Lake Temple. Moments when I could actually feel my spirit inside me jump for joy!
Jason and I weren't able to pay full attention to the sealer, though he did have some wonderful comments, because we were so preoccupied with keeping Gavin from crying. He wouldn't take his morning nap in the Youth Center at the temple and was a little fussy. My mom did a great job holding him at the alter especially since he was quite squirmy. We are so grateful for all those who shared that special moment with us. We love you and appreciate your love and support.
Gavin Michael Wells was blessed Tuesday evening. Jason and I were so touched that so many friends and family were able to join us at the blessing. We seriously filled up the whole chapel. Gavin received a wonderful blessing and is a very special little boy. We were happy to have Gavin's birth parents and their families at the blessing as well. What a wonderful day in heaven!
