On Saturday, August 30th, Jason's dream came true. He watched his first BYU football game with his son! If you know Jason than you know he is a FANATICAL BYU fan. The two of them were SO cute! They wore matching BYU t-shirts and Gavin was all decked out in a BYU beanie, BYU socks and wrapped up in his BYU blanket from Grandma Launa. Plus, we have another BYU blanket, from Brandi, which was spread out on the floor so that Gavin could lie down on it. I think the only thing Gavin didn't have was BYU diapers and a big "Y" painted on his face. We had a great afternoon watching the game with our good friends Chris and Treasure Niederhauser and their kids, Madison and Jackson. It was Labor Day weekend as well, so we had a BBQ and all sorts of snacks. Gavin was perfect through the whole game and didn't even cry when Jason or Chris would yell at the tv. The next Saturday we did the same thing except Gavin wore a different BYU shirt. Yes...he has several! I see a wonderful tradition beginning for my boys!
