OUR BIG BOY

I can't believe our little boy is 2 months old! The time has flown by and he keeps getting bigger and bigger. I try to tell him to stop growing so fast, but he doesn't listen. Jason and I are LOVING being parents. Every night we huddle around Gavin as he smiles and coos at us. It is the best part of the day! I love that he is getting more interactive and actually starting to play. The other day I was playing peek-a-boo with him using his burp cloth. We have played this game before and he didn't really react, so I was surprised when all the sudden he started smiling when he could see me again. It was really cute. Unfortunately it only lasted for a minute or two but it's progress. Life has been pretty simple lately. I stay at home and play with Gavin, Jason goes to work (he is finally working normal hours now that his trial is finished). I can't believe I have only 3 weeks left on my maternity leave! (I took off 3 months) I am so sad that I will have to go back to work, but luckily it will only be part time and I will only have to be away from Gavin one sometimes two nights a week.

Gavin had his 2 month doctor's appointment today and we got another A+. He is SO big!! He weighs 12 lbs 11 oz (at his 2 week he was 8 lbs) and is 25 inches long (at his 2 week he was 20 1/2 inches) so he has been busy growing like a weed! He has a little bit of torticolis (twisting of the neck) that makes him look only to the right. We noticed it about a week after we got him and received a paper with neck stretches at his 2 week appointment. We have been doing the stretches everyday and he is improving. The doctor didn't seem concerned today about the problem and said to keep plugging along at the stretches.

WOW... he is growing !!! I can't believe how long he is already. I have a feeling that my daughter is going to follow after myself in the height department. I hope all is going well !!! Again, he is darling.

Gavin is so cute, but so are his mom and dad. You describe the feelings I had when you were an infant. Isn't it a miracle? The feelings, I mean. They are so intense and sweet. I can't wait to see the two of you. Love, Mai

Hey you two,
I have been very bad about staying in touch of my friends and I wanted to send you a little comment and tell you how excited I am for your new addition to your family. He couldn't have been given to any better parents then yourselves. Your open song brings a tear to my eye and makes me realize how perfect our kids are and how muuch happiness they bring to us as parents. With Love, Scott Warren

I got the birth announcement and it's hanging proudly on our fridge, so thank you! He is so adorable and you guys look so happy! I love it! They do grow up too fast though! I'm already sad thinking about that with Jericho! I'm almost 36 weeks now. Not dilating at all even though I am constantly having contractions, (seriously!) So, I am ok with that for now, but I'd like to see some progress so I don't have to be induced or go overdue!

He is so precious! I can't believe it's been two months. I bet it seems like yesterday that you first brought him home. It's been 8 months for me and I still feel that way. I am so glad to hear that he is a big healthy boy. That's always reassuring to hear from the doctor.
