Meeting family and friends

Everyone was SO excited to meet Gavin when we brought him home. I guess it's a good thing he likes to be held, because he was hardly set down the whole week we were in Utah waiting for the paperwork to be completed so we could take him back to Arizona. I have to admit, a lot of time I was the guilty party. He is just too darn cute not to want to snuggle and kiss all the time! In that brief week he met almost all his great grandparents, most of my extended family and many of our good friends. Unfortunately, Sunday Jason had to drive back down to Arizona to take the Bar exam in Tuscon on July 29th and 30th. Mommy enjoyed the bonding time though and with the help of Launa, Jason's mom, and my mom the adjustment went smoothly. On Monday, my mom Veniece arrived to meet her first grandson! It was wonderful spending so much time with my mom. On July 29th, my side of the family gave me a baby shower. It was so wonderful to see everyone and for them to meet Gavin.
August 2nd Gavin and I flew home to Arizona, we had gotten the all clear from the state two days before. Jason was SO anxious to see his little boy again! He came to pick us up with a bunch of balloons...what a sweetheart! Jason's boss gave him a week off work to be with the baby. It was the most amazing week. The only plans we had were to hug, kiss, and dote over our precious Gavin! On August 17th, my dad was flying from Utah back to Houston and had a lay-over in Mesa, so we took Gavin to the airport to meet his Grandpa Jerry. Unfortunately, my dad had been sick for a few days so he couldn't hold Gavin. The next day my mom, sister Sam and brother Matt drove from Utah to Mesa and stayed with us for 3 days so Sam and Matt could meet Gavin before heading back to Houston. I don't think any baby has been doted on as much as Gavin. He sure is loved!
