At only 7 weeks, Gavin is still in the eat, poop, sleep phase of his life. So, we sometimes go a few days without any news worthy happenings which is why every little smile or coo is so monumental. Plus, I can't rule out the doting first time mom syndrome. I'm sure that plays a role too. That said, I hope you will excuse my blogging on seemingly insignificant things. Anyways, on with the story. The day we brought Gavin home from the hospital we found that he was already well acquainted with his hand, as the picture shows. We thought it was so cute that he had found his fingers and was sucking on them. However, once we came down to Arizona he didn't seem to do it again. It's so sad when good friends are lost in a move! hehehe
Well, on September 4th, Gavin was reunited with his old friend, his hand. It w

as so cute...he was sitting in his bouncer, I was at the sink getting some dishes done, when all of the sudden I start hearing a loud sucking sound. He had shoved his whole fist in his mouth and was going to town! Then the next day, Jason was holding him and his fist found his mouth again. He was so excited that his other hand came up, fingers all stretched out in a big 5, and was pushing his fist even deeper in his mouth. He was sucking so hard trying to get something to come out. Poor guy! Jason and I were no help at all because we were laughing so hard we almost had tears.
